Question: I set my butterflies to roaming mode, but they disappeared from the land, and I can't find them. What should I do?
Answer:
When you leave your butterflies in roaming mode, please note that they require a 5-meter radius around their position to roam. If you are located near the edge of a sim, it is highly discouraged to leave your butterflies roaming. The butterflies take the position where you rez them, and from that position, they require a 5-meter radius to roam.
Avoid letting a butterfly roam if you're not sure you're within a 5-meter radius of its position. This will help prevent you from losing your butterfly.
If this happens, your butterfly will usually be returned to your inventory in the Lost and Found section. However, sometimes Second Life has issues with returning objects when they go beyond the sim boundary. In this case, the butterfly might get stuck in the Second Life matrix and will never return to your inventory.
If this occurs, you will need to submit a ticket and provide the ID of the missing butterfly. We will then need to recreate it for you.
